# The Academic Digest > A Monday research digest matched to your research topics and keywords. Selected papers include AI-generated summaries based on available abstracts and links to the original papers. Start with one free project; no card required. Updated: 14 October 2026. ## Product and audience For researchers who regularly follow a defined question, method or area. The digest is a selected reading list, not an exhaustive literature search. It can complement database searches, alerts and citation-discovery tools. Abstract-based summaries can contain errors; consult the original study before relying on a finding. ## Plans - Free: one project, one topic, up to five keywords, and up to five papers each week. No card required. - Premium: up to four projects, up to five topics and fifteen keywords per project, and up to ten papers per project each week (up to forty total). Also includes paper likes, related-paper links and Zotero saving after connection. - Premium costs EUR 5 per month billed monthly, or EUR 45 per year billed annually. EUR 45 annually is equivalent to EUR 3.75 per month, but is charged annually. - Eligible first-time Premium subscribers receive a 14-day trial; a card is required. The selected plan renews automatically unless canceled before trial end. Returning subscribers do not receive another trial. Checkout confirms the amount and billing date. - Counts are upper limits. Available matches and source metadata vary. Delivery is on Mondays; the number of digests available during a trial depends on setup and delivery timing. ## Public guides - [How it works](https://www.theacademicdigest.app/how-it-works): selection, source coverage and abstract-based summaries. - [Illustrative sample digests](https://www.theacademicdigest.app/sample-digests): examples of the format using published papers, not recent subscriber deliveries. - [Tracked sources](https://www.theacademicdigest.app/journals): check source coverage for your project. - [Research tool comparison](https://www.theacademicdigest.app/alternatives): publisher-authored workflow comparison with official product links.
