Service Description
The Academic Digest provides weekly email summaries of academic papers. We offer:
- Free Plan: General weekly digest of top papers
- Premium Plan (€5/month or €45/year): Personalized digest based on your topics and keywords, with the like button and one-click Zotero save
User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate email address and payment information
- Use the service for legitimate academic research purposes
- Not share or redistribute digest content without permission
- Respect the intellectual property of paper authors
Subscription Terms
- Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at €5 or annually at €45
- Payments processed securely via Stripe
- Cancel anytime via account settings
- No refunds for partial months
- Free plan continues indefinitely at no cost
Service Availability
- Digests delivered weekly on Mondays
- May temporarily suspend service for maintenance
- Content accuracy depends on source data quality
Intellectual Property
Our summaries and curation are our intellectual property. However:
- Original papers remain property of their authors
- We provide summaries for informational purposes only
- Always cite original sources in your work
- Our digest format and selection algorithms are proprietary
Limitation of Liability
The Academic Digest is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Accuracy of summaries or source papers
- Missed opportunities due to delayed or missed digests
- Decisions made based on digest content
- Third-party content or links
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Violation of these terms
- Abuse of the service
- Non-payment of subscription fees
- At our discretion with reasonable notice
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with notice via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of new terms.
Institutional & group access
Universities, research institutions, and organisations providing Premium access to multiple researchers are governed by a separate agreement. See Institutional & Group Access Terms.
